out of the depths I cry to you, oh lord, hear my voice. oh, let your ears please attend to my cry, my cry for mercy if you oh lord kept a record of sins, oh lord, who could stand? but with you there is forgiveness, therefore you are feared. chorus i wait for the lord, my whole soul waits, and in his word, I put my hope. i wait for the lord, my whole soul waits, and in his word, I put my hope. more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. oh Israel, put your hope in the lord, for with him love is unfailing and with him is full redemption. he himself will redeem Israel from all their sins from all our sins

graveyards 05:51
I’ve been in the Maze now for 20 30 40 50 years Taken many turnings confronted by my vices and my fears Trust the guide to get me home because there has to be much more than this Perfect destination for the pilgrim on the journey to find bliss Life is filled with graveyards for the memories of friends who never were People passing through your life and taking what they want without a care Bitterness that festers has destroyed the life that once you could have had Songs that no one wants to hear the melodies that only leave you sad Cast into Graveyards Memories of friends you never had Down to the Graveyard Memories of friends who never were

when you awake in the dead of the night the voices are there the voices are real the voices in your head are real driving you crazy driving you mad when you awake in the dead of the night the pounding in your chest is real the pounding in your chest is real what do you do when the voices are there driving you crazy driving you mad what do you do in the dead of the night the pounding in your chest is real when you awake in the dead of the night the voices are real the voices are real the voices in your head are real driving you crazy driving you mad into the Maze or away x 4 enter by the narrow gate x 4 broad ways lead to destruction x 4

City Celestial where all is forgiven No feeling guilty for what you’ve done wrong There you encounter your guide and your king open the portal and welcome him in For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is still to come Marching to the lasting city …. Repeats

treasure 03:36
Chorus Where your treasure is there your heart is Where your treasure is there your heart is Where your treasure is there your heart is All along Verse A-1 I guess that no-one really wants to die that for rich folks growing old could be a pleasure But for some of us as end of days draws nigh we’d just rather straight away to find the treasure Chorus Verse A-2 When you wake up from a dream do you wish you were still in it All life’s fullness isn’t real if it is then I can’t reach it Verse B-1 Thought my life was like a song rising strong to verse and chorus But a song without a bridge ……is not a song and no-one hears it Where your treasure is there your heart is Where your treasure is there your heart is Where your treasure’s been there your heart’s been All along

about

The Maze is a musical allegory of the spiritual life, in much the same way as Pilgrims Progress is in literature.
One can journey through the Maze for many years perhaps, only to discover that you are, more or less, back where you started. The spiritual life contains many twists and turns, as does a Maze, and you cannot see very far ahead before the next turning. You frequently encounter dead ends.
Each track tells a separate story either of the experience of the individual traversing the Maze or of the words of the Guide who has been commissioned to assist the individual on their journey to the centre, the ultimate destination.
